About the only good that ever really comes from snow....are those rare snow days!
This morning I woke up to this....
Tried to go to work.
Spent over an hour on I-35 a parking lot where my speed never went above 5mph.
I went less than 5 miles before deciding this was stupid.
It was going to keep snowing all day with the heaviest scheduled to arrive just in time for the drive home.
No thanks.
I'm giving myself a snow day!
So I turned around, picked up Jamie....and headed home.
I plan on drinking a little lot of this....
Having one of these going all day long...
Catching up on some of this...
And hanging out with one of my favorite men!
Thank you lord for a much needed impromptu snow day....I knew I lived in the Midwest for a reason!

Good for you! I never get snow days, considering we can connect from home on our laptops. That’s why I work from home most of the time these days, which is nice (so I guess I can’t complain).
I hope your day is filled with giggles from Jamie, hot coffee, warmth from the fire, and great TV!
So jealous! We just have a little down here, even though the rest of the state is practically closed. :/

I'm so jealous you got to stay home.. I definitely spent over an hour driving to work and Matt was on 35 for almost 3 HOURS! What happened to our on-top-of-it road crews?
we're enjoying our snow day too, getting another one tomorrow as well! I don't know about you but I'm fed up with shoveling the driveway! Glad you got a good day off!

Look how funny he is in his exercauser. I don't know what we'll do when Harper grows out of hers. It's the best entertainment at 6:30am on a saturday when mommy is still sleepy
:) Such pretty snow! NOt so fun to drive in for sure... Glad you took a snow day! I woke up the other day and told my roomie that "school should be closed..." We both laughed. We didn't get the kind of snow you did. It was weird how it all kind of missed us. Even DALLAS got snow. Strange.
