I was basking in the glorious Hawaiian sun. (Still got the tan to prove it BTW and you bet your asses I was rockin' white ALL weekend long!! Yes. I'm that girl.) I've already pseudo planned my next trip there. (I've even told the hubs he can some with me this time!) Somewhere after our Alaskan cruise, trip to Ireland/Scotland/England and the Greek isles of course, a trip to Hawaii will defintely be in order! ;) A girl can dream can't she! Enjoy the photos....it's all I have left of paradise! (Besides the fabulous tan)

Still waiting....

.....for that jet lag to kick in. I didn't go to bed until after 10 last night and woke up for work around 7. All day I kept waiting to be tired. It never happened. How is it possible to have literally lost 6 hours of time, stayed awake for 33 straight hours and feel perfectly normal. Hell, sometimes I have a hard time adjusting to daylight savings and that's only one stinkin' hour. Oh well! I won't complain! The hubs and I are off to get chinese for dinner. Yum!

What time is it???

Whew! What a whirlwind week! Had a blast in Hawaii. It's a looooong journey over to the Aloha State, but it's worth the wait! I was able to do pretty much everything I wanted to do even in the short amount of time I was there. I will post pics later this week but now it's time to crash. I woke up at 6am Hawaii time yesterday and other than a few 20 minute dozes on the plane have yet to sleep. So here it is, now 9pm Ohio time on Monday making it a solid 33 hours. I'm not sure how I'm even functioning at this point....but surprisingly I'm still going strong. Tomorrow it's gonna bite me in the ass for sure!! Aloha!

Think Pink!!

I am lucky enough to say I don't personally know anyone who's been affected by breast cancer. In these days....that seems almost impossible. Today is the Race for the Cure in good ole Cbus and we are right along the route. So me and the hubs are gonna go grab some Starbucks and cheer on my BFF Maria, his mom and sis as they run/walk by! Good luck ladies!!!

2 weeks until sunny Oahu!!

So every year the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has a conference and this year it's in lovely Oahu, HI. My oh so generous boss is taking the whole office! Woo hoo!! When he first offered the trip I honestly had to think about it for a minute, a fast one mind you, but still had to think. I always imagined my first trip to Hawaii would be with my hubby, but for free, my coworkers will be the perfect substitute! Sorry Adam, have fun holding down the fort....I'll bring ya back a pineapple =) I picked up a travel book from the library and have been planning out all the things I want to try and do while I'm there. Here's just a few....
Hike Diamond Head Crater
ALL the way to the top.....To get this gorgeous view. On a clear day, they say you can see Maui!
Visit Pearl Harbor

Hang 10 on the North Shore.....or maybe just watch =)

Work on my tan on Waikiki Beach

Registry completion!

So in the midst of post wedding "blues" there's a wonderful little thing called registry completion where you get to buy any unpurchased items at a discount. We shopped our hearts out right after the New Year buying oodles off our registry from Bed, Bath and Beyond. When we had to immediately pack everything up though and put it in storage or at my MIL's in the "gift" room we decided to hold back on the Crate and Barrel one. Well today was the day! Nothing better than spending a morning in your own little piece of retail heaven, shopping at a discount....with gift cards. Woo hoo!!! We were able to get most of things that had not been purchased, and you'll all be happy to know I am now the proud owner of 6 fish glasses! I can't wait to have a house so I can finally enjoy off these fun things!

Impromptu Friday night!

Friday night we found ourselves at Gordy's in Westerville. After suffering through the antics, comedy and rediculous singing of WNCI's 10,000 Maruniack's we got to enjoy a practically free Bowling for Soup concert. They played most of their hits, not my fave, but that's ok...for $5 what do you expect. After their first set I ran to the bathroom, only to return to a MASSIVE crowd right where we'd all been standing. Not sure what the commotion was all about, I elbowed my way through to the front where I was informed the band was standing like two people away. Eek! No freakin' way! Nikki and I maganged to get pictures with two of the band members, we even tried to convince them to play "Emily" when they went back on, but all they played were cover songs. Oh well! It was still a great night!
