Project MILF

Losing weight is nothing new to me.
I've pretty much struggled with it my entire life.
I've been up and down more times than I can count.
This is my story of how I decided to lose it for good!

In December of 2008, after losing 20 pounds, I walked down the aisle at just under 200 lbs.
On an almost 6 ft frame, though still considered overweight, I felt {and looked} pretty good.

By the time we went on our honeymoon in March 2009, 10-15 pounds had crept back on.  I guess that's what happens when you stop drinking your meals and eat actual food again.  Slim Fast.  Comes back as quickly as it left.

The summer of 2009 we picked up our lives in Ohio and moved to Kansas City.  The stress of house hunting, job hunting and adjusting to life in a new city caused the pounds to pack on fast and by the time I got pregnant in November 2009 I was a whopping 240 lbs.  Just in time for our first anniversary no less.

In August 2010 I gave birth to our son.  I had gained 35 pounds.  I'll let you do the math on that one.  Woof.

By thanksgiving I had actually managed to squeeze back into my pre-pregnancy jeans so was probably somewhere between 240-250.  After that, things really started to get ugly.  As if that's even possible.  I pretty much ate what I wanted, when I wanted it....and a lot of it.  By the end of the summer all my clothes were tight and I had to get a bigger size jeans for fall.  I had just stopped caring.  I was already fat, what was a few more....or 20 pounds more.  Those new jeans were tight by Christmas.  I avoided mirrors and cameras at all costs.

I promised myself after the holidays I would do something about.  Two weeks in to the New Year I finally did.  On January 14, 2012 I walked into my first Weight Watchers meeting weighing 270.2 pounds.
I took off running and haven't looked back!
Here's my progress so far!

Well, that about brings us up to date.
Thanks to all of you have helped and encouraged me along the way!

As for my ulitmate goal?
I'd like to get down to 165 lbs for a total weight loss of 105 pounds!
That puts me right in the middle of my healthy weight range for my height.
I look forward to sharing the rest of my story with all of you!
Wish me luck!
