The art of killing time

Subbing as a dental hygienist isn't as bad as I thought it might be. You're only in any given office for a day or two. You don't get caught up in any office drama. You aren't really expected to do anything other than clean teeth. And if its a total sucky office....chances are you never have to go back!

I've lucked out with mostly good places...everyone is friendly and helpful. The pay can't really be beat and I've been averaging about 3 days a week. No complaints right?!

Well I've discovered one flaw. Patient no shows and cancellations. They happen pretty often which I'm not used to...my old office in Ohio kept me pretty busy. Do you know how hard it is to kill 2 1/2 hours?? Hard. Sometimes you can sneak a little internet time....but you want to appear busy, they are paying you afterall. So here I stand...hiding in a corner....blogging on my cell phone. This is what my life has come to.....mastering the art of wasting time. Honestly...I'd rather be busy!

Ugh. I hate it when I have a lull at work. Although it's not very often, it makes the day drag on and it's not like I can really do anything fun, although I try to read some blogs. Hope you have a great week!

I had a job once where they were much over staffed, so I spent the majority of my day trying to figure out how to stay busy. Drove me nuts!

isn't that funny? we complain when we're SUPER out of control busy and then we complain when there's absolutely NOTHING to do. haha.

Don't you just hate when people cancel?!?! BUT super happy for you that you are enjoying what you do right now! :) And of course that you get in some blog time...can't beat that!

I completely understand because when I'm not busy, I get bored rather easy. I think blogging from your phone is a great way to pass the time ;) I'm glad that you like the new job for the most part though.

As for your question on wedding nostalgia...I totally get that way every now and then, especially when I attend a wedding. It makes me want to do it over again, minus the stress of planning. What about you?

Your 1st anniversary will be here very soon :)

Hopefully you can find stuff to fill your downtime. I agree, when you have nothing to do at work, it makes the day go by SO MUCH SLOWER!!
