Project MILF Week 3

Yes you read the title correctly.  Week 3.
Despite the fact that I posted about this 8 weeks ago, it took me 5 more to get my butt in gear.
Sad I know, but at least I finally got started and that's what counts.
So far I've lost a whopping 10 pounds.  Woo hoo!
You'd think I would feel fantastic and I do, but have you ever noticed that when you've been eating better and losing weight you think you will become a greek goddess overnight?
Yeah well, much to my dismay that doesn't happen.
Take yesterday for example.  I had to go buy a pair of black pants for work.  I hate pants shopping, but I figured maybe I would have better luck since I've lost a little weight.
Not the case.  It was a very depressing shopping experience that really just left me bummed.  I wasn't expecting miracles (ok maybe I was), or even a smaller size (a girl can hope though), but someone please explain to me how the size I usually wear was almost too tight.  What a shaft.
I'm trying not to beat myself up over it.  I mean it took 2 years and a baby to put the weight on, it's going to take more than 3 weeks to take it off.  Guess I was just greedy for a little more instant gratification!
Project MILF continues!

I totally know what you mean about an innocent shopping experience leaving you completely deflated...I think we've all been there {and if not, we can't be friends ☺}. Plus those damn 3 way mirrors aren't always so flattering. Keep pluggin' along...your progress is great! ☺

10 lbs is great! Keep going! :)

I'm the same way with diet and exercise. I expect to see big results immediately, which is soooo not realistic lol

10 pounds is freaking awesome!!! Don't beat yourself up and never look at sizes. I have pants in at least 4 different sizes and they all fit the same. Different styles/designers can cut things completely different. For example...I live in my Gap Long & Lean jeans but I wanted a shorter pair for flats. I went to Gap on Friday and the new fabric felt weird in the same size I wore into the store so I got a size bigger. You just have to do what feels right. But...definitely keep up the fantastic work with project MILF. I'm back on the fit train also and lost 2 pounds last week. YAY!!! We can do it!!

First of all, congrats on 10 pounds! That is a great start! I know you probably hear it a lot, but you are gorgeous my friend. Just keep taking things one step at a time and before you know it, you'll reach a goal you feel happy about. Don't be so hard on yourself (I know, I know, easier said than done) but 10 pounds is nothing to shrug off!

I totally understand. I want to see the results fast and if I don't I tend to give up. Trying much harder this time!! Keep working hard! 10 pounds is awesome!

Way to go, girl! 10 lbs down is awesome! I hate shopping right now too but I agree with the others don't worry about what size the tag says, just get what feels and looks good to you!

bahah..I am identical in thought..like, 10 lbs? I should be a freaking MODEL BY NOW. RIGHT?! boo. wrong.

I hear you.

25lbs lost and I'm still like, "REALLY? I'm still fat? THIS MAKES NO SENSE" But yea. I wish we could just push a button and be hot.

For the record, 10 lbs is a HUGE HUGE HUGE accomplishment. Think of a pound of meat. Its A LOT. Times that by 10. Ew. ITs a lot. BE PROUD!

10 pounds! Amazing! You should be so proud! I know the pant thing sucks, but pants are really ridiculous to shop for anyways! Think of every pound you loose as a block of butter-the kind with 4 sticks. You lost 10 of those! Go you!!!! :)

10 pounds is awesome!! Help me get rid of 10 lbs in 3 weeks momma!! Way to go! And the pants thing, ugh my least favorite thing ever, but seriously I can walk into Old Navy wearing size X, get a pair of pants size X to try on and they're too tight or too big. Its a gamble so don't let the size thing get to ya! You're rocking it and by the way, Jamie is just too freakin cute!

10 lbs is awesome! Way to go! That takes so much work! Also, usually 10 lbs is a pants size, so maybe your body hasn't "caught up" yet, if that makes sense. Congrats!

10 lbs is an awesome start! I wish actually buying clothes was as fun as window shopping! lol

Congratulations on 10 lbs!! And for the record, it doesn't matter what size you are, black work pants are the spawn of Satan. They never fit right! I FINALLY found one good pair in five years, and I'm hoping they last forever.

Girl 10lbs is freaking awesome, like rock star!!! I lost like umm 4-5 in about 3-4 weeks, that.is.it. So you are doing way better than me!!!

Congrats on 10 pounds! That is a lot and you should be really proud. I get easily frustrated too and hate how long it takes to get off versus 10 years ago when I could eat and apple and lose 2 lbs. It's been taking me a really long time to get by rear in gear and I'm going on vacation next month. I still need to lose 5 before I'm back to where I was last year (and I still have plenty to lost after that). Keep up the great work and you can do it!
