So What Wednesday

So what......
  • If I was excited to take Jamie to daycare on Monday.  After a full week at home with him I was ready for a little adult time at work.
  • If we went to the grocery store on Monday night....spent $75 on groceries....and then went to McDonald's for dinner.
  • If while at McDonalds I got chicken nuggets and orange drink.  I am well aware of the fact that I'm no longer 5 years old, but whatever, it was delicious.
  • If our main topic of conversation these days involves poop and/or boogers.  Yes, we're those people.
  • If I tell people I cloth diaper to save money but can't stop buying new ones.  They're just so stinkin' cute!  Hi my name is Mrs. EyeCanSee and I'm a cloth-a-holic.
  • If I told the hubs I wanted fleece footie pajama's just like Jamie.  They look so warm and cozy!
  • If I'm tempted to make my son wear socks on his hands.  They don't stay on his feet and I'm tired of his nose looking like he took a hack saw to it.  I swear I trim his nails all.the.time.
  • If I consider cooking pasta with jar sauce and frozen meatballs for dinner a gourmet meal.

So does the daycare allow you to use cloth diapers? That's awesome if they do. We cloth diaper at night, and I wish we could do it all the time! :) Hope you're doing ok. I'm so sorry about your mom! I know this must be so hard for you. It is wonderful that she got to meet Jamie, though. Take care of yourself, and your little family :)

pasta with jarred spaghetti sauce is just one of those meals that is so fabulous, it shouldn't ever be criticized. Combine that with the fact that it takes all of about 20 minutes to fix and you understand why it is a staple (and favorite) in our house!

McDonald's chicken nuggets are delicious. No shame in having those! :)

Chicken nuggets and orange drink sounds perfect right about now. Geof and I do grocery shopping and pick up food on the way home too, so don't even sweat it.

I'm glad you were able to find a good daycare for Jaime!

Love this post! And "amen!" to the last one! That is gourmet in my book!

Love it! Spaghetti is a weekly meal at our house (I have about 5 dishes that I make...so what) Hope to see you soon!

I would call that meal gourmet without meatballs. Add those and it 's freaking 5-star quality.
And I totally agree with your first one as well. There's nothing wrong with wanting to go a few hours without changing a diaper or have a baby squawking in your ear!

Spaghetti is a weekly meal at our house. Sometimes I glam it up with meatballs but that's rare. And I totally eat out on our way home from the store too. It's just easier that way. XOXO

P.S. Get footed pajamas!!!

You know, they have adult footie pajamas! I bought them from my brother! They're awesome!

What? Sauce from a jar does not a gourmet meal make? Well then I'm screwed.

Snuggie has a rival that's making those pajamas now, too. They're fleece, and they have a hood and zip up the front. The best part is that they have an easy access flap in the back.. They're called the lazy something or others.

I wouldn't mind wearing some of those pjs too!

I can't tell you how many times we have gone and got fast food before and/or after grocery shopping! Totally normal, right!?

Bwhaha I am so glad to hear I am not the only one who drops a fortune on grocerys and then heads to McDonalds on the way home!

Seriously that orange soda is good ass shit!!

I do that all the time! I'll go grocery shopping and swing by and pick up drive thru on the same way home! Shopping is exhausting!

I wouldn't be able to stop buying those cute diapers either.. maybe I better just not start! I'm the same way after grocery shopping.. it's so much work, who wants to cook? In fact, I often buy a big 24 pack of diet coke only to go by McD's for a fountain drink on the way (or a little out of the way) home.

Yeah you are definitely not alone on the McDonalds thing! We've done the same for sure :) My 2 yr old (sad I know) started requesting "fronch fries and nuggets" every time he sees the golden arches! Hey have you tried Robeez shoes (or the knockoffs from Target) for keeping Jamie's socks on? They work wonders I swear!

We usually go to Mickey Ds on the way to to the store--so we aren't starving and buy the entire place up, haha!

Mmmm I want a burger now!
