Day19: Nicknames
Growing up I was Em or Emy.
When I was really in trouble and my mom meant business it was Emily Christine.
My dad calls me Scooter which my mom sometimes shortened to Scootch.
My brother calls me Foe.
My brother calls me Foe.
In french class I was Collette.
To our dear family friends I'm Esther.
A highschool friend called me Shmem-ily or Schmem for awhile. Don't ask. I never really got it either.
When I went to college I became Ems. Or Embosabi on rare occasion thanks to my friend Joe.
The hubs usually calls me Em, hun or babe.
To Jamie, I'm mama. Sometimes. If he's in the mood.
The kids I work with call me Doctor. Nurse. Dentist. Lady with the alligator. Or Miss Emily.
And of course you all know me as Mrs. EyeCanSee which is a play on our German catastrophe of a last name.
Happy Monday! (Is it Friday yet?)

Holy WOW, that's a lot of names! Sorry, I giggled out loud reading this!
Aw that is cute. I love nicknames...but only the good ones :)
I love this!!! I love all the nicknames...I must say I do not have NEAR as many!!!
My sister is Emily and we call her Em too. I have a catastrophe of a crazy German last name too. I always have to give the analogy that it is said like a Star Wars clone, just not spelled like that!
I love the name Emily - LOVE it. Like when I realized that was your name a million years ago I thought to myself - I LOVE that name. And I think Em is a cute nickname. Or Mama. :) Mama Em?
That's a ton of names! I also think the name Emily is beautiful, though I'm also partial to Embosabi. :)
You are one woman with many names! I'm not one to call people by their nickname (for some reason I always prefer to go more formal) but I love the Em nickname.
