Snack time!

With Project MILF well under way ( 2 more pounds this week!) I've been trying to find more creative, but nutritious snacks, preferably 100 calories or less (a few higher ones snuck onto the list....for my sanity really)!  So here's some of my faves:

100 calorie snack size popcorn
Portion control is key....I could easily polish off an entire regular sized bag, so the fact that this one is all you get is perfect.  I like to get the Kettle Corn/Homestyle variety pack.  Even the hubs enjoys this one!

Laughing Cow Cheese: 35 calories for the Light version
I put this on celery, but I've heard it's good on crackers too

Light Sargento String Cheese: 45 calories

Homemade "Ice Cream" Sandwiches: 70 per sandwich
Take one low fat graham cracker and break it in half, place a dollop of light cool whip and make a sandwich.  Toss in freezer and voila!  (Believe it or not, this is actually something my husband came up with....or so he says)

Planters Dark Chocolate Forest Blend: 170 calories for 1/4 cup
So good.  The tartness of the cranberries combined with the salty almonds and dark chocolate.  Perfection.

What are some of your favorite low cal snacks???

If you like chocolate and peanut butter you can get chocolate graham crackers and spread a thin layer of peanut butter on one side, put your dollop of lite Cool Whip and freeze. Yum!

I also love to get an instant packet of sugar free pudding (banana cream is my favorite right now) mix in about half a cup to 3/4 cup skim milk and then add in a tub of light cool whip. Mix up and you have a yummy whip topping to put over strawberries, bananas, or dip vanilla wafers into!

I'm into the laughing cow cheese right now, but I do garlic & herb and with wheat ritz. For weight watchers, its really low in points!

Also, That graham cracker snack? fairly genius.

and that last snack looks SO GOOD. Dark chocolate? Sign me up.

I like the fruit strips from Target for a snack. I'm also a big string-cheese fan, too.

Congrats on the weight loss!

I really like the snack size kettle corn as well. I also like to snack on just plain dark chocolate. I buy the dark chocolate baking chips and eat about 1/4 cup when I need a chocolate fix!

I may have to try that little graham cracker recipe!

Those mini popcorn bags are lifesavers, I too can polish off a regular bag (and then feel so guilty)!

Okay, now I'm hungry, missy!

I love me some Greek yogurt. Lots of protein so it keeps you fuller for longer :)

p.s. I miss you on my blog, lady!

I totally just had my personal popcorn and will be having a laughing cow later I'm sure. Your "ice cream sandwich" idea is awesome. I'm totally trying this one out. :)

Oh my gosh! I eat a bag of that popcorn almost every day! The calorie amount is great for the amount you can eat!

Laughing Cow cheese is the bomb dot com. I need to try some of the new flavors. I also like the 100 calorie packs of popcorn.

Your hubby is a smart one and I like his ice cream sandwich invention. I must try this!
