Random doesn't even begin to describe what just happened in this post.

This morning I let Jamie sit on the floor and rip up a piece of junk mail.  It was easier for me to clean up that mess than to constantly be telling him "No, he could not touch mommy's butt" and that "Yes, those are mommy's 'neeples'" while trying to get dressed.  I think naked time in front of him has worn out it's welcome.

The past two nights we've been having a dance party before bed.  It's quickly become my favorite part of the day.  It's also made me realize that white men can never dance.  Not even when they're 2.  But he sure does have mean high kick!

I bought my husband a smartphone for his Birthday and now understand why he rags on me for being on my phone all the time.  I feel like a phone widow.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my cloth diapers, but I'm kind of at the point where I'm over diapering {this child} period.  The fact that my pediatrician mentioned last week that boys don't usually potty train until closer to 2 1/2 or 3 and the fact that my child thinks the potty is only for playing made me realize my diaper free days before number 2 rolls around are going to be very fleeting.

Speaking of number 2, thank you to everyone who agrees that the world needs another EyeCanSee in it!  Now who wants to chip in to the daycare fund so we can all make this happen??  I mean, the do say it takes a village to raise a child right?!

I have to work on Saturday.  The fact that this means I have tomorrow off only makes it a little less painful.

Jamie's fall wardrobe has started to roll in and it's adorable.  It's also the first time that with a new season, I didn't have to order the next size up.  Now I'm praying he doesn't have some freak growth spurt come January.  Considering it's all still falling off him, I think I'm safe.

My dad sold his condo here in KC and I'm inheriting some of his furniture.  Excited doesn't begin to describe how I feel about our soon to be new bedroom set that's coming on Saturday!  Not that I don't love our current one, but I've been using it since I was 16.  It's time for something new!  And you can't really beat the price.  ;)

Now that the weather has cooled down to something bearable, I'm actually sad to see summer slipping away.  What will we do with a 2 year old all winter long when we can't go to the park??  Or go swimming??  Or play outside?!?

I think I want to go darker for fall, but not totally dark.  I just look better with some highlights.  Period.  As a compromise, I've been lusting over that whole reversed highlights, ombre look.  Is that even still in?

This post has been sitting open since 8am.  I think I'm putting a fork in it.  It's done.

That's all I got today people.
Happy Thursday!

Oh yay! Another little one :) Time to join the party..the family of four party right?

We haven't even really started with potty training. We sit him on there occasionally but really...I know he's not ready and I'm not pushing it at the moment.

I was at a friend's house today when she asked me when I planned on starting potty-training with my son. Who is one. Just turned one even. I was kind of stunned - I thought you waited until they were at least 2.

ha! Love the randomness. My friend from LA just did the ombre look. She's my style inspiration, so I say it's still in! :) Plus, it seems that stylists here in the midwest have finally got the hang of it so I say you go for it now, girl! I've even wanted to try it, but I finally have a blonde color I'm happy with so maybe I shouldn't go rogue..haha.. :)
