Down on the Farm

Do you ever discover something new in your city and wonder how you lived there for so long without knowing about this little gem?!?
That was us on Sunday.
Kansas City has a children's farm and it's amazing.
First of all, on the weekends it's $2 a person and during the week it's free. FREE!
$6 for an entire morning of toddler friendly entertainment that resulted in a 4 hour nap?
You had me at hello.
Second of all it was HUGE!  Just when we thought we'd seen it all we'd turn the corner and there was more.
Goats, fishing, cows, horses, turkeys, chickens, pony rides, nature trails, butterfly gardens, tractors, more playgrounds than I could count.  My kid was in 2 year old heaven.
Except when the goat tried to eat his shirt.  Which of course when you ask him about going to the farm, is the only thing he talks about.  "Goat did it!  Goat eat Jamie's shirt!"
Sigh.  Toddlers.
Shirt eating aside we had a blast and will definitely be going back in a few weeks when they open up their Fall/Halloween exhibit for some pumpkin picking and hay rides!
And now for your viewing enjoyment, a bunch of pictures of my kids back and the side of his face, cause god forbid he LOOK at the camera.  That would be too easy.

Happy Monday peeps!

OMFG I hate feeding goats. Nightmare. Cute farm and barn, though!

Cute! Based on her reactions at the fair, I don't think this would be Jade's favorite activity YET. But maybe when she's Jamie's age she would enjoy it as much as him!

How much fun! I love this time of year. It makes visiting places like that so much more fun.

That looks like so much fun! I can't believe how big Jamie is getting! I'm so excited when P will be old enough we can take him to petting zoos/farms.

I grew up going to this farmstead as a kid with my grandma during the summer, and absolutely LOVE taking my own daughter there now! We've been twice, and this second time around she was even more into than the first. I can only imagine how much more exciting it will get for her as she gets older. Glad you all had a wonderful time!
