I am banned from grocery shopping

So yesterday I told my BFF I don't let the hubs go grocery shopping with me because it's like having a toddler in tow.

"Oohhh Doritos, can we get some?!"
"No"
"Ahhh....donuts, how 'bout some donuts?!?"
"No"
"COOKIES! Please can we get some cookies??"
"No."
"You're mean. You never buy anything fun!"
"Pretty much"

Well recently the tables have turned.
I ventured off to the store last night alone...list in hand.
I knew in the back of my mind I may buy a treat or two...what I didn't expect was a break down of all willpower driven by a 4 pound fetus.

In addition to all my usual healthy items, these things managed to jump into my cart all by themselves!

3 cans of Pringles
Ice Cream
Cookies
Sour Skittles
and a bag of Peanut Butter M&Ms.

Yikes!
I am no longer allowed to go grocery shopping until this junk food loving baby growing in my belly is out!
At least with these cravings we can't deny who the father is!

I'm the same way with my hubby. Hopefully I end up with a belly that still craves cucumbers and carrots.

You are so funny! Geof is the same way when I take him grocery shopping. He can’t stay with the list…ever. You’re preggers, so I get it in your situation ;) I could go from some PB M&M’s right now!

haha Kristian and I have similar conversations since I do most of the grocery shopping. He always wants me to buy chips and beer and other unhealthy/expensive stuff. I rarely do though.

My mom said she had a massive sweet tooth when pregnant with me. What's funny is that to this day, I can't really eat sweets because they make me sick ha.

I feel the same way lately! I'm also so indecisive about *which* treat I'm going to want later, so I do what any other normal pregnant women would do...buy them all. Before we even had a child our pantry looked like one lived with us: spider man fruit snacks, animal crackers, fruity pebbles...maybe guys just never outgrow it!

haha! That is too funny! I hate grocery shopping, hubs usually does it and does pretty well. Everyone in a while (like yesterday) I'll find a box of powered doughnuts in his car. Apparently that's where he hides the treats!

So glad you participated in the Blog Hop today! PS. My husband also does our shopping. Partly because he's being nice to me, but also because when I go, I come back with WAY more stuff than we need. Junk food included.

That is so funny. Enjoy...I never felt guilty about eating all those yummy treats while I was pregnant...although hauling my a$$ to the gym these days to work it off is not quite as fun as eating the yummy treats.

I tell my hubby the same thing all the time. And now that we have a toddler I have to hide his snacks or its eaten in day. All I ate when I was pregnant was marshmallow fluff and popsicles. It was ridiculous.

I don't think men ever outgrow needing junk food. Sometimes your dad goes to the store and comes home with 3 bags of ONLY junk items. After 37 years, don't think I'm going to change him now :>) xoxox mom
