Shhh....I have a secret

So I've been going back and forth with whether or not I was going to share this with the blogging world....but I'm not one to keep a secret for very long. You should see me at Christmas and Birthdays with gift giving. I'm the worst. Any hoo....back to the task at hand. First of all, don't let the picture lead you on, I am NOT pregnant. (I'm such a tease I know) We are NOT actively trying to get pregnant. (Like all that crazy charting your ovulation business) We are however not, NOT trying. Did you follow that?? Yep. That's right. We're throwing caution to the wind to see what happens. It's very exciting and scary all at the same time. I suppose it isn't the best time. (Is there really ever a good time?) There are probably a million reasons why we should wait, but we came to a cross in the road and this is the path we've decided to take. I'm beyond elated right now. Words really can't begin to describe the feelings I'm having. To think at any moment I could be a mommy. Eeek!! I'm not running out to buy any baby gap onsies just yet...but I'm sooo excited to be moving in the right direction!

Ok. Enough baby talk for now. I'll let you all know when and if I have a bun in the oven.

Aghhh!! I thought you were going to say you were pregnant!!! Yay for not not trying :) I love babies! And I love people who want babies and love them as much as I do, and I think you do!

Not NOT trying is the best way to start! Personally, I think the idea of temping and charting sounds more like a science experiment ;-) But you gotta do what you gotta do!

This is very exciting! I like the approach to just say if it happens, it happens. It's laid back and not so scary like all the charts and those things. Sending good thoughts your way!

Wow, how exciting :)

And I think that the 'let's see what happens' approach is a great way to go! It keeps the pressure down and things exciting. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you guys!

J and I have also decided to not NOT try in the next couple months . . . it is VERY exciting! And as my mom says, you are never going to feel like it's the "perfect" time . . . but when it happens, it will be perfect!

You totally had me freaking with that picture. I was like "if she didn't call me in person, I'm going to cut her legs off." :) Now the question is how are we going to betroth our future children with a 700 mile distance?

Oh.my.gosh - don't know how I missed this!!!!

I think this is an awesome way to approach having a baby.....I really do. One of my good friends did the same thing and got pregnant a few months later. It's always funny listening to her response though when people ask if they were "trying"!

Congrats on "not trying"! ;-)
