We've finally jumped back into the wide world of house hunting....and what a world it's been. We spent the last two days trekking over the city with our trusty real estate agent looking at roughly 20 houses.
Yes. 20. I'm exhausted.
And it is NOT as fun as they make it look on TV.
After awhile they all start to look the same and man are there some DUMPS out there. They make them look so glamorous in the online photos. Well let me say, photos are decieving!! They only photograph the new updated kitchen, nice windows and big backyard....convieniently leaving out the mold in the garage, the sloping floor and the buckling walls. YIKES!
We lucked out and found 3 good ones. Which in all honesty isn't TOO bad, it just means less to weed through. There's definitly a front runner between them, of course the most expensive. What can I say, I have expensive taste! However it's the biggest, move in ready and would be a long term house as opposed to the others which would only last 3-5 years (or baby #2) before we outgrew it.
We hear the final word from the bank today on our loan situation. Ideally we would of had the pre-approval done FIRST, but I didn't get them all our paperwork in time (oops, my bad!) so fingers crossed we haven't overspent our budget!

Aww friend, I hear ya! We are doing the same thing and it is tiring!
Isn't it crazy how exhausting house hunting can be?! I know the perfect house it out there for you guys though and it will be uber exciting when yall track it down! Yippee!
goooood luck! i certainly dread the moment we start looking. thankfully i think we have another year! haha!
Good luck finding the perfect house!!!
Fingers crossed for you guys!
We did the whole house hunting thing a couple years ago and I dread it again when we have a baby!
Good luck! I hope you get the one you want. I know it can be very overwhelming.
The Waldo rapist has ruined our any hopes of selling our house. We've got 60 days left and unless they catch him I doubt we'll have many buyers come for showings. It seriously makes me want to cry.
I'll be thinking some good thoughts for you! I remember the stress of house hunting and am SOOO glad that those days are finally behind us! Good Luck!
Good luck, my fingers are crossed.
YAYAY! Good luck! I understand.. that's one reason I ended up not buying yet.. I really cant afford it right now, BUT I was also getting tired of seeing something online and merely driving by it to find a completely different looking house. *le sigh* I silently applaud houses that feature the "so so" features in photos.. I mean at least you know what you're getting in to!
PS LOVE the new layout!!! :)
Good luck in your house hunt! I hope it works for you to get your fave!
eeee.. good luck! i will keep my fingers crossed that it all works out in your favor!!
I heard all about your weekend from your mom. SOunds exhausting. I hope something great works out for you guys soon. Then you'll finally be settled!
We just applied for a home loan, too, and will start looking as soon as we get the word on that. Good luck!
House hunting is exhausting. You're brave to do it pregnant!
I hope everything works out with the loan and that you guys can get your house!!!
Thanx for letting me come along with you on Sunday. A full and exhasuting day, but 3 good possibilities. Congrats on getting the loan approval Monday :>) You have the most amazing real estate agent...so perfect for you 2 and what you want to buy. Here's hoping we celebrate next Christmas in Lenexa!!! xoxox mom
House hunting is so exhausting and I can’t imagine doing it preggers. God bless ya! I actually used to get really angry expecting to walk into a gorg house and then be duped by the photos on trend.
I hope you get the best of the 3 homes :)
