These are a few of my favorite things

(Come on. You know you're singing the Sound of Music now)
So with summertime comes fun new summer stuff! I'm always looking for an excuse to buy more "makeup junk" as the hubs refers to it. I have a closet full of half used lotions, shampoos, hair gels and lip glosses. Call it an obsession, call it what you will....but I love all that girly stuff. Here's a few of my new (and some old) faves!

Found this one while browsing the Body Shop in BWI Airport last week. I always like that shimmery, bronzy look for summer but don't want to look like a glittery 13 year old girl. This is perfect! Just the right amount of shine and you can use it with your own lotion or fragrance which makes it even better!

The best stuff EVER for the curly haired ladies out there! It's a curl cream and leave-in conditioner all in one leaving your hair (and curls) super soft! I add a little gel or mousse for some definition and frizz control and out the door I go! Have I mentioned how much I love my new shorter do?

Great lightweight lotion, not too greasy or heavy in the heat and humidty...plus it smells great

I heart Philosophy. This cleanser is even gentle enough for MY crazy sensitive skin.

Was nervous this would irriate my skin because of the lactic acid in it for exfoliation, but was pleasantly surprised when it didn't! Leaves my face so soft, not gonna lie though, it doesn't smell all that great.

Zits. Come on ladies...we all get them. This is what I call my "magic juice." At even the hint of a pimple I put this on and most of the time it never even shows it's ugly face.

The only Mary Kay product that lasted past college. Satin lips. I use the lip balm like it's my job!

Love this blush from Aveda and the brush it comes with is maybe the softest ever. NARS "orgasm" ain't got nothin' on this one! It's perfect for the sunkissed glow!

I love all of your recommendations and I am a bit of a beauty product junkie myself. I would really like to try the body shop leg shine, the j&j lotion and the mary kay satin lips. So fun!

Hi there!!! So glad you found my blog via "Christina's Favorite Things" and thanks for the sweet comment. :)

It seems as though we have a lot in common, or similar taste at least. I just read about that Moroccan Oil in Real Simple and wrote it down on my "must buy" list. I'm a big fan of the persa-gel, too....works like a charm! And if that blush is better than Nars "orgasm", I have to try it out!

Oh - in case you are still on the hunt for a "fix" for acne/problem skin, you might try the Acne.org Regimine. My skin is (was) a hot mess for several years after moving to Houston where it is unforgivingly hot & humid! Constant breakouts..........I have tried everything! After spending lord knows how much, I stumbled upon the acne.org website and have been using the products for about 2 months - and I'm pretty much clear now! On occassion I'll get a small pimple here and there, but much better than before. Sorry for the novel about that, but I thought I'd share the info in case you have any interest in looking into it.

Again, thanks for saying hello! Love your blog - we'll have to come back soon!!!!!
